Kathryn Williamson

Inspiration for my work draws from a sense of personal treasure trove-found objects and fragments of pottery, museum artifacts and pattern from collected and inhereted ceramics and fabric.

The work combines pattern or texture in a selection of unusual materials, such as paper and resin, beach pebbles, transparent ennamel and semi-precious stones.

These elements are set within and contrast with silver structures which are often reversable with texture on the silver created by hammers, rolling mill or photo etching.
