The Parent Council is made up of the parents of children who attend Pittenweem Primary School. We raise funds to support the school, through events such as Toast for Break, school discos, a nearly new sale, Christmas tea towels, coffee mornings, and quiz nights. These fundraising ventures have enabled the Parent Council to purchase a number of items for the school, such as PA system, a playhouse for the nursery, and four laptops for use in P4-7 classrooms. We also pay for buses to allow the children to take school trips.

About The School:

The Primary School lies at the centre of the small community of Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife.
It is a small school with a friendly, caring ethos.
There are strong links with the community and this has created a strong sense of belonging to the village. The school role is currently approx. 75; there are four classes and a nursery. There are a number of afterschool activities run to encourage children, such as animation club, Stay and play active club and dodgeball.
The school has a Pupil Council, Eco Committee, a buddy system and monitors, empowering the children and giving them responsibility and a sense of community spirit.
